Welcome to  the District One CHSRA website: District One includes the counties of Trinity, Modoc, Shasta, Lassen, Tehama, Plumas, Butte, Glenn, Colusa and Siskiyou.

CHSRA is always open to new members..

Membership applications available check in the forms tab.  The CHSRA was founded in 1970.  Its aims are the development of sportsmanship, horsemanship, and character in the youth of our country.

To be eligible to join the California High School Rodeo Association you must be enrolled in high school or attending schools which apply to high school credits.  You must be in good standing and meet grade point  and conduct requirements in both National and California High School Rodeo Associations.  Rodeo season is from September through May.  In June, each District sends the top five contestants, in each event for the year, to the State Finals Rodeo.

This year the State Finals will be held in Bishop, California, from June 17th thru the 23rd, 2008.  Then the top 4 in each event will move on to Nationals, to represent California.

Your high school does not have to recognize rodeo as a school sport.
